Registration deadline: Opens February 3, 2024 - Closes March 1, 2024
Piano Performance: April 30 (possible May 1) and May 4, 2024
Venue: Calvin Presbyterian Church (Great Room)
- This is available to students of Abbotsford BCRMTA members only.
- 1 entry per student
- Any piece at the student’s current level is acceptable
- Memory is compulsory
- Specific timing of the performance of the piece is required (for scheduling purposes)
- Original music must be provided on performance day (including digital music if brought on their device)
- 1st and 2nd endings are optional
- D.C. al Fine should be followed in the music
- The adjudicator determines the placement of gold, silver, bronze, and work in progress
- To be eligible for an award 2 live performances are required:
- Live adjudicated performance (April 30 - possibly May 1, 2024) Exam-type format with no audience
- Performance (May 4, 2024)
- The student is to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled performance time. Late arrivals will forfeit their spot unless a committee member has been contacted about an emergency…..accident etc
- Be sure measures at the start of each new staff are numbered on the score
- Erase markings on the music provided to the adjudicator
- There will be no refunds of entrance fees
- Adjudications will be emailed to teachers in a timely manner
PLEASE NOTE: all teachers of entrants must volunteer in specific tasks that are equitable to the number of their students entered in the competition. The number of hours required will be determined once we know the number of students participating overall.
